The short version
Browsing this site sets no cookies. Signing in sets the cookies that keep you signed in and your session secure, and the app sets one short-lived cookie of its own after you save a change. That is all. We use no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
The cookies we set
| Category | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in and session | Keeps you signed in, protects your session against forgery, and remembers which account you are acting for. Set by our sign-in provider, on our domain, only when you sign in or create an account. | Some last minutes and renew while you use the app; others keep you signed in between visits until you sign out. |
Showing your latest changes (dc_wrote) | Makes sure a change you have just saved shows straight away. Set by us, only after you save something in the app. It holds a time, nothing about you. | 90 seconds |
Both are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so they do not need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Reminder and statutory-deadline email carries no tracking pixels and no tracked links. We do not measure whether you open mail that tells you a deadline is coming.
If this changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, this page will say so first, and a way to refuse it will appear before the cookie does. The version line at the top is the current version.
