Companies House deadline checker: your dates in seconds

When is my confirmation statement due?

Within 14 days of the end of your review period. Your first review period is the 12 months beginning with the day of incorporation; each one after that is the 12 months beginning with the day after the previous period ended.

Filing early resets it — the next review period runs 12 months from the date you actually confirmed, not from where it would otherwise have fallen. That is why confirmation statement dates drift away from the incorporation anniversary, and why the date above is read from the register rather than calculated from your incorporation date alone.

What deadlines does a UK limited company have?

Every UK limited company owes at least four statutory deadlines, and most owe more. The universal ones:

Note that the tax is due three months before the return that calculates it. That ordering catches out more companies than any other single thing on this list.

Then, depending on what your company does:

Which of these deadlines can you work out from my company number alone?

The Companies House ones, and the corporation tax dates that follow from them. Your review period and accounting reference date are both on the public register, so your confirmation statement date, accounts filing date, corporation tax payment date and Company Tax Return date all follow directly.

The rest depend on facts the register does not hold — whether you are VAT registered, whether you run payroll, whether you process personal data outside the exempt categories. Those are added by you, not inferred.

Are these dates the same as my company's compliance status?

No. This calendar shows when things fall due. It does not show whether you have filed them.

The two are deliberately separate: a date can be accurate while your position against it is unknown to us. Anything showing a filing as done reflects what the public register records, not our assessment of your compliance.

Is the checker free?

Yes. The deadline calendar is free, and stays free. Accounts, and the reminders that come with them, open with the launch cohort.
